Usually, on sunny days, if I'm going to take a portrait of someone, I like to position them slightly inside openings - such as an open garage door - at times to allow the sky to provide soft, even illumination. Usually, the background, being darker, "drops out." In this example, I also edited with hue reduction, adding tiny bit of blue to shadow and midtones, some doging, burning, etc. Origin: Nikon D-70
